PVC extrusion is a high-volume manufacturing process in which raw plastics are melted and passed through a series of processes. Extrusion produced pvc granules can be made into a variety of products including pipes/pipes, weather strips, fences, deck railings, window frames, plastic films and sheets, thermoplastic coatings and wire insulation.Common plastic materials used in the extrusion process include high impact polystyrene (HIPS), PVC, polyethylene, polypropylene, and ABS.

When we talk about PVC extrusion, there are not many people not in the field that knows what the process is about; when we talk about the extrusion machinery, however, people who know what goes on in that department are even fewer.

Manufacturing process of PVC granules:

(1)Drying: Remove moisture and volatiles from the material to prevent moisture from mixing into the melt, causing bubbles, pores, water marks, etc., which affect product quality.

(2)Preheating: The material is preheated and melted immediately after entering the extruder to fully heat the material to improve the plasticizing quality.

However, it should be noted that the preheating temperature is lower than the viscous flow temperature of the material, otherwise winding will occur.

(3)Multi-component materials should be sieved, ground and refined with additives or pigments to improve dispersibility.

If PVC granules are used, they can be added directly to the drum. The equipment used for stirring and mixing is a kneader, a high speed mixer, a grinder, and the like.

(4)The purpose of stirring and mixing is to make the components uniform and improve the processing properties of the material.

(5)low speed idle screw, check the current meter, tachometer, temperature control table and other control instruments are overloaded.

(6) First add less material after the material is extruded into the mold, then feed normally and adjust the speed.

(7)Adjust the bulb diameter to draw the expansion ratio at any time.

(8) adjust the thickness and uniformity of the film, wind ring, mold temperature, gap and so on.
